Specifically designed to be used for inflating all four tires at once, this 10.6 CFM compressor is an absolute beast. Not only does this compressor feature impressive air flow but it’s also digital – which is a first for our industry. Sure, there are some digital compressors out there, but none have been specifically designed for off-road and overland use.

I have tested quite a few MORRFlate products over the years and this one is by far the most refined.

It’s a very polished unit all the way around. From the packaging and bag provided to the neon green finish & details on the compressor – you can tell that a lot of thought went into the manufacturing process.

The digital UI display and buttons are presented very well and the button action is firm and responsive.

The unit features a clean embossed MORRFlate logo on the front and two stamped M icons on the top. Even down to the 6-ft hose coming off of the compressor and the 6-ft electrical cord that terminates with high amperage alligator clips – this compressor is dialed.

Fastest Off-Road Air Compressor?

Most regular tire valve stems, including common after-market ones, use a valve core known as a “Schrader Valve.” These valves create a small 1/16″ opening. These 1/16″ openings are designed to allow around 1.8 to 2 CFM at 20 psi.

This CFM rating changes throughout all ranges of PSI. CFM will increase when using higher/stronger pressure, like when using a Powertank or a pressurized onboard compressor with an air tank and CFM will decrease when using lower/weaker pressure.

If you’re using a compressor without an air tank, your tires can only handle about 2 CFM of airflow at once. So even if you have a compressor that’s rated for 5.65 CFM (Smittybilt) or 6.2 CFM (ARB Twin), if you’re filling one tire at a time, you can’t fully utilize the capacity of those compressors because the tire’s valve stem limits the airflow.

In off-road conditions when tires are running lower pressure (10-15 PSI), the usable CFM for one tire at a time is realistically only 2-3 CFM, depending on the tire pressure. This means in most cases, you’re not seeing the highest efficiency from your compressor, and you’re overloading the compressor with pressure, causing it to work harder.

All that said, by using one of MORRFlate’s popular 4-Tire Air Inflation Kits, you can now take advantage of higher CFM compressors. If you add the potential airflow from each tire X four tires simultaneously, you can theoretically utilize a full 8-12 CFM of airflow without creating any blockages or causing unneeded pressure issues from your compressor.

Optimal Usage:

• Given its 10.6 CFM rating, it’s strongly advised to use the TenSix compressor with a MORRFlate 4 Tire Inflation & Deflation Kit. This helps prevent pressure buildup when filling one tire at a time.

Designed for Four Tires

The PSI Pro is designed to be used with a 4-Tire Air Inflation Kit, however, if you need to, you can use it to fill up one tire at a time.

Because the PSI Pro features such a large CFM, the duty cycle on the PSI Pro decreases to 2 minutes when working on one tire at a time. Its air output is designed for the efficiency of all four tires being inflated simultaneously and is simply overkill for a single tire.

Attempting to inflate all four tires, back to back (one tire at a time) will cause premature wear to the TenSix over time. 

Digital Display

Alongside its notable CFM rating, another standout feature of the PSI Pro is the digital display.

The UI on the PSI Pro is clean and it couldn’t be any more simple. You have up and down arrows on one side to pre-set your desired PSI. You can toggle the up and down arrows from 0 PSI all the way to 120 PSI.

Then you have the M button which is the mode. You can toggle the mode from PSI to kPA and other pressure modes.

Finally, you have the power button. The power button will start and stop the compressor when you’re ready to start inflating your tires – and if you need to stop the compressor before it automatically shuts off when reaching your desired PSI, you can shut it down.

Pre-Set PSI and Walk Away

One of the coolest features of this compressor is that you can literally set it and forget it.

Set your PSI to your desired number and walk away. Not once has an offroad compressor offered such a simple convenient feature. Having the PSI pre-set allows you to turn the compressor on and move on to other things; organize your rig after camping all weekend, shoot the shit with the boys, make a needed trail repair, or do anything else that needs attention while the compressor hits your exact target.

Final Thoughts

The MORRFlate TenSix PSI Pro Compressor is a powerful tool when it comes to airing up your tires – especially when paired with a 4-tire inflation kit. With its 10.6 CFM dual-cylinder design, it quickly inflates all four of your tires and offers an impressive easy-to-use digital display for pre-setting and easily monitoring pressure.

Safety features like the thermal cutoff switch and 50% duty cycle are just an added bonus of long-term reliability.

It’s important to use the compressor as intended which is for simultaneously inflating all four tires – not one tire at a time. Can you inflate one tire at a time if you need to? Yes, but it’s not recommended if done consistently over a long period of time.
